The International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) is a member-based organization that certifies individuals in various e-business and security skills. It is the owner and developer of the world famous Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (C|HFI) and EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (E|CSA)/License Penetration Tester (L|PT) programs, and various others offered in over 60 countries around the globe. EC-Council has trained over 80,000 individuals and certified more than 33,000 members, with more than 450 training partners globally.
These certifications are recognized worldwide and have received endorsements from various government agencies including the US Department of Defense Directive 8570, US Federal Government via the Montgomery GI Bill, and the US Government National Security Agency (NSA). Many of these certifications has been certified to have met various Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) 4011-4016 training standards; EC-Council is the creator of the Hacker Halted conference and workshop series and owner of the EC-Council University based in the state of New Mexico, United States of America which offers both bachelors and masters degree programs.
Currently, EC-Council is supporting the International Multilateral Partnership against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) which is a partnership organization of the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to provide training and sponsorship totaling US$1m to governments of 191 member states.
